today is the first day i become the it trainer. Well not the trainer firstly i was suppose to come for training at acp then kelvin say that i have to replace someone at juying sec. so i went all the way nervouse like mad but when i reach the school i have to go around the school just to find the computer lab after i found the lab i need to wait for someone called sue coz she has the key. waited for like 40 minites then she turn up and the i have to open my email just like what kelvin told me and there a list of what i should do...

here is the list..
HANDING OVER REPORT

1. Signing In & Out Register File in General Office

Upon reaching the school, introduce yourself to general office staffs that you are the IT Trainer that will relief me for today. You are required to “sign in” the register file upon reporting to school. The file is in black color with my name on the front page.


2. Lab Key Drawing Procedures

Please proceed to the general office and look for Ms Dilla, Ms Valerie or Ms Sundri to request for Lab A(78), Lab D(35) and Lab E(77) keys. Ensure that the keys are duly signed out in the key register book.

3. Location of Trainer Table
My desk is situated in Computer Lab A. It is the second floor of the Enterprise block.
Once you come up the stairs, the door is directly in front of you. Use key 78 to unlock the door. There’s another room inside, that’s the TA room. My table is the table that is outside the TA’s room.

Lab D & E is on the first floor of the Enterprise block. On the left is Lab D, on the right is Lab E.

4. Daily Tasks
• Teachers might want to borrow or return digital cameras or digital video camera. The file in purple is the file to record down the “sign in” and “sign out” of the borrowing. Fill up accordingly. Please fill in the serial number.

• To monitor the usage of school portal. To monitor the Forum. To monitor the Booking Facilities.
• Expected to open up Lab D & E for the teachers according to the time booked and to lock up after that particular class.
• To check the broadcasting laptop to make sure that the broadcasting went smooth. The laptop is situated in the Vice-Principle room.

5. Upcoming Tasks

• To check with Mrs Jessie on how she want the printer in the library to be place.

6. Immediate Tasks

• Install SDRAM into Lad D computers.
• To test out the VCN with the T.A. Ensure that the teachers can only see students within the class.

7. Outstanding Pending Tasks

• Edit the staff retreat video clip. The video clip is in the desktop. I named it “ staff retreat”
• Upload the staff retreat photo in the school portal. It is under the “Photo Gallery”. The photos are in the computer th
• at situated in the Teacher’s staff room under “retreat 2006”.

10. Important Points to Take Note.
• Never lend your key to any other teachers for them to open any of the labs.
• Never leave the lab unlock while unattended.
• Never leave the students alone in the lab.
• Remember to off air-con and light when not in use.

And know what i can only do 1 thing of all the list that is editing their videos. and now i have finish editing i don't know what to do... even the ta is not here. she gave me the key and told me that she won't be in this room so i have to hold the key.. well i am fine with it but now i feel like i am here not doing nothing which is wrong and if only i could do all of it.. but i don't think so... coz i don't even know how to istall a SDRAM.. i don't even know what it is... Well here i am in a very cold computer lab with noisy boys outside playing catching and me nothing else to do... i feel like i am not fit to do this job, anyway i have not even attend any course yet and i don't feel like a trainer at all but an office worker. coz here i am sitting here just blogging away... And i can't go home now coz i am suppose to stay here till 6pm haizz.... 3 more hours to go with nothing to do... And just now there is a teacher come in and ask for the digital camera charger and i don't even know where they put the charger so i call sue, the girl whom i waited for 40 minues, and she never pick up the call and the teacher ask for my name and i think i am in a deep shit.. but really i went around the room but i can't seems to find any charger at all well what should i do so i told the teacher i am so sorry and he just say it's ok i'll sms sue... well i think i am in a deep shit... but for me how can they just put me in a school and don't tell me what to do and expect me to know what to do... i am suppose to train people not sitting bumming around. and i have not eaten any lunch coz i don't know what time to go and eat and where is the canteen and so on... i guess this is the life of the replacement trainer... welll looks like i am stuck here with nothing to do... wish me luck....
